Dr. Allan Robbins, M.D. F.A.C.S.
Dr. Allan Robbins was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. He received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NYC. After his internship in Internal Medicine, he completed his Ophthalmology residency at the New York College of Medicine/New York Eye and Ear.
Dr. Allan Robbins was one of the first surgeons in the country to be involved in the implantation of intraocular lenses for cataract surgery.
Dr. Robbins’ hobbies include digital photography and Vintage sports car racing. When Dr. Robbins is not seated behind his laser, he can sometimes be found at Watkins Glen strapped behind the wheel of one of his racecars.

Dr. Susan E Yorks
Dr. Susan Yorks was born and raised in Lima, New York. She graduated summa cum laude from Hartwick College with a BS in Chemistry, and from The New England College of Optometry with a doctorate in optometry.
Dr. Yorks has over 20 years experience in the highly specialized field of refractive surgery. In 1994 she was recruited by Dr. Allan Robbins in his capacity as CEO of the Genesee Valley Eye Institute. In this capacity she assisted Dr. Robbins in the VISX clinical trial for the excimer laser. When Dr. Robbins left GVEI in 1997, Dr. Yorks joined the staff of Robbins Eye Associates and Robbins Laser Site. Dr. Yorks also specializes in the management of cataracts and glaucoma, and performs routine eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
Dr. Yorks’ professional affiliations include the American Optometric Society, The New York State Optometric Society, and the Rochester Optometric Society. She has held a position on the Rochester Optometric Society Board of Directors since 1996. Dr. Yorks also serves as Chairperson for the Petry Lomb Scholarship Committee, a charitable organization administered by the Rochester Area Community Foundation.
Dr. Yorks currently resides in Pittsford with her husband Brian, and sons Griffin and John. She enjoys reading, gardening and being a hockey mom.
Dr. Ryan Beers
Dr. Beers graduated Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian of his class at Roberts Wesleyan College, Rochester, NY with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry from Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry with honors. While at Salus University, Dr. Beers received Presidential recognition for obtaining a 4.0 GPA and served as the President of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Beers was awarded the Vistakon Award for demonstrating clinical excellence in fitting contact lenses and the clinical excellence award for best student intern.
Dr. Beers performed internships at Eye Care Associates Raleigh, NC, Virginia Eye Consultants Norfolk, VA, Visionary Ophthalmology in Rockville MD and Fox Chase Family Eye Care in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Beers grew up in Western New York. In his spare time he enjoys being active and doing anything outdoors, especially playing basketball and golf. Dr. Beers often volunteers at local basketball tournaments as a referee. He now resides in Arkport, NY.
